We value your privacy and take every step to ensure that your information remains confidential. The statement below is a summary of our Privacy Policy at Tranzit Group Limited, and our subsidiaries.
It sets out how we collect, store, use and disclose the personal information that you provide to us through our websites.

What personally identifiable information does Tranzit Group Limited (TGL) collect from me?
TGL does not collect private or personal information from this website, except where you willingly provide it. TGL stores all personal information on a secure database with controlled access. If you contact TGL, we may keep a record of that correspondence. TGL occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research and training purposes. Wherever TGL collects personal information, it will be in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
CCTV
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), that captures both audio and visual footage, is used on many of our vehicles and at all depots to monitor people and traffic movements to ensure the security of our facilities, to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, to assist with investigation of incidents and to promote community safety.
Signage indicates where CCTV equipment is operating.
CCTV footage will only be viewed by authorised personnel in accordance with the purpose noted above, or when checking that the system is operational. No attempt will be made to identify individuals from CCTV footage except in cases of reported or suspected incidents requiring investigation. In the event of some unlawful activity being recorded on our CCTV cameras, we may pass footage of the incident over to Police for the purpose of an investigation. Likewise, if the Police believe some unlawful activity was carried out, then they may view or ask us to hand over any footage that may assist in their investigation.
We may share any CCTV footage with our Council partners, to enable them to:
- Investigate incidents,
- Ensure ticket revenue is appropriately collected,
- Audit compliance with our contracted services.
Where an incident has occurred on a school service then, TGL may show the footage, including any audio, to the school(s) to enable the school(s) to address the incident.
What are cookies and does TGL use them?
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. TGL uses cookies solely for the purposes of enabling a more efficient navigation system while you are using this site. We do not use this cookie to collect information about the user.
With whom does TGL share my information?
TGL will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission. TGL will not share personal information collected with third parties other than those required in the provision of the services and products purchased by the customer or as required by New Zealand law. Third parties involved in the delivery of the services and products purchased by the customer, will use that customer’s personal information, as supplied by TGL solely for the purposes of delivering the services or products purchased. TGL does not and will not rent or sell your personal information.
What is TGL’s policy on allowing me to update, correct, or delete my personally identifiable information?
A customer may, at any stage request TGL alter, update or delete personal information at any stage by corresponding with TGL using the above listed contact details.
Social Media
We used social media including Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn to provide information about our services and from time to time to run competitions or promotions. If you connect with us or follow us using those services and networks, they may collect your personal information for their own purposes. Those services and networks have their own privacy policies that are independent of ours that you should read before following or engaging with us on social media.
How does TGL protect my personal information?
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, unless it is processed through a Secure Credit Card System. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, TGL cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via email, request a call back facility or quote request form. All information held by us, will be held securely and in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020.
