Celebrating Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day celebrates diversity and aims to stamp out bullying. It is celebrated annually around the globe after first beginning in Canada in 2007. Here in Aotearoa, New Zealand, Pink Shirt Day aims to create schools, workplaces, communities and whānau where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.
Our Tranzit teams mark the day by wearing pink and take time out to connect with each other. Tranzit is grateful for the support from the Ministry of Education, Taranaki Regional Council, Horizons Regional Council and Metlink who supportive of our driving teams wearing pink when they get behind the wheel.
