Career Bus Tour
Our Tranzit Group head office team laid out the welcome mat to host a group of Masterton residents, including Indonesians and members of our former refugee community, as part of a special visit organised by the Ministry of Social Development, Masterton District Council – Welcoming Communities, and New Zealand Red Cross.
The visit was part of a day tour that took the group to visit some of Masterton’s businesses so they could see what happens behind the scenes and meet the people that work there. It was a valuable chance for them to connect and learn more about the community they are now living in.
At Tranzit, the group was welcomed onsite and given an informal presentation that traced the company’s history; highlighting where we operate throughout New Zealand in the bus, coach, tourism and car rental sectors and to highlight potential employment opportunities.
The visitors were also taken through the Tranzit Group workshop where they could see a variety of fleet as well as have the opportunity to meet our mechanics, one of whom started with us straight from school as an apprentice. They were able to highlight the different career pathways there are also available within the workshop as well as highlight Tranzit’s national presence.
Tranzit also supported the day by providing in-kind travel for the recipients.
